About this app
SYFERS-app is the internal registration tool of Syntrociety. Everything registered here becomes part of the public SYFERS documentation - open, structured, and available to others who want to build something similar.
A forest does not start from a manual. It starts from conditions - soil prepared by pioneers, shade created by early growth, nutrients held by roots. What follows grows because what came before made it possible.
SYFERS is that accumulated ground. Everything Syntrociety has learned - about governance, land, conflict, energy, and the seasons between them - documented, structured, and made open. So that another community can begin not from bare ground but from what has already grown here.
There is one thing it cannot carry. The discomfort of sixteen people from different countries, living and working in close proximity, making decisions together about everything. The conflicts that took months to work through. The financial pressure. The personal transformations that nobody planned for and everybody felt. We document those too - honestly, without softening them. Not because they transfer, but because anyone walking this path deserves to know it is a real path, with real weight.
The planting guides travel. The willingness to stay - that part every community finds for itself.
This app is where the community registers what it does. Meetings and decisions. Plants in the ground. Energy produced. Work to be done. Reflections on what went wrong and what held. Each form captures one moment in the life of the cooperative - structured in a way that can be understood outside of it. Reflections come in two forms: free-form records of what broke and what held, and adaptive reflections where Claude generates questions based on the quarter's actual data, guided by the cooperative's ecological and syntropic principles.
Syntrociety documents its work not only for itself, but for others. A community in Portugal, a cooperative in Spain, a municipality in the Netherlands - anyone attempting something similar should not have to start from zero. The data registered here becomes guides, decision logs, species lists, and honest reflections. That is its purpose.
Everything you fill in here gets saved as a draft. Once reviewed, a record is made final — locked and ready for generation. At the right moment, the app turns final records into real documents: a log of decisions, a record of what grows in the ground, an honest account of what happened in a difficult season. Those documents become part of a public library that anyone can read and use. Only finalized records reach the repository.
SYFERS is structured around the 10 principles of Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI), developed by the REINFORCING project (Horizon Europe, grant 101094435). Each principle maps to a folder in the repository. The data you register here provides the evidence for those principles in practice.

github.com/Sulitania/SYFERSOther Syntrociety apps may consume this public documentation. The document intelligence app at documents.syntrociety.com cites these records when generating new content, and can be triggered to draft follow-up work directly from a meeting decision (see the "Trigger SDI follow-up?" hint under each decision in the meeting form).
